This is why EnvisionCAD developed the “MicroStation VBA Fundamentals” manual.  It is designed for non-programmers to lead them through the basics of programming and the foundations of creating custom tools for MicroStation. Each chapter contains a discussion of a topic followed by lab exercise(s) to reinforce learning. The first half of the manual covers the basics of VBA programming that apply to developing custom macros for not only MicroStation but also Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and any other application that includes VBA. Many of the lab exercises in the later chapters can be used as templates for building your own custom MicroStation applications.
