MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4) Released

MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4) – Version – has been released and is available for download from Bentley Software Fulfillment.

The main enhancements with this release are:

  • Certified to run on Windows 10
  • Patterning and Hatching have incorporated Annotation Scale like text, dimensioning, and cells.
  • Autodesk RealDWG 2016
  • Raster Manager can now attach layers from Bing Maps
  • The CONNECTION Client is installed for sharing projects on the Cloud.
  • Print PDF’s directly to the Cloud for CONNECTED projects

According to Bentley this is the last planned MicroStation release in the  V8i (SELECTseries) line. All future development will be in MicroStation CONNECT.


Updates to some of the vertical applications have recently been released as well.

  • Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 4) Update 3 – Version
  • Bentley Descartes V8i (SELECTseries 6) – Version

Both of these products are certified to run on Windows 10 and require MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4).


For those of you waiting for the updates for GEOPAK V8i (SELECTseries 4) and InRoads V8i (SELECTseries 4) please note that both of these will require MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4).

    I need to use the Microstation SW included Bentley Map. So I want to ask where I could buy these versions.
