In MicroStation V8i two geographic transformations have been added to the Orientation options that will perform on-the-fly reprojection of attachments with defined geographic coordinate systems. These options are only available if both the master model and referenced model have defined geographic coordinate systems.

AEC Transform

The AEC Transform method is the quicker of the two methods. It uses a less accurate algorithm and is intended for geographically small areas.

Reprojected

The Reprojected method is a slower, more accurate transformation method. It is intended for larger geographic areas.

Note: References that are attached with either of these two reprojection options cannot be further manipulated using the reference scale, move, rotate, etc. commands.
