We just returned from the conference and here is a quick look ahead at the many exciting things happening with Bentley Software.

MicroStation: Hyper models were demonstrated which integrate 3D and 2D drawings. Think 3D model with 2D detail drawings/sections associated with design elements. Apparently a lot of R&D has been taking place developing iPad applications as well. See our Youtube link to the keynote demonstration.  click here

Civil Applications: Significant changes to the civil platform are coming late this year. The enhancements present a familiar feel to InRoads users but the structure of the software is dramatically changing. The civil applications are being integrated into the MicroStation environment providing  in-place editing, retention of design intent, dynamic editing/updating and content sensitive workflows.

Hot Tip: AccuDraw and more importantly Civil AccuDraw play considerable roles in future software. Now is a great time to start learning and using these productivity boosting tools.
