Ten Commandments for Creating Configurations in CONNECT

When we build custom Configurations for clients there are some general rules by which we abide. These general rules are also passed on to our students attending our CAD Manager training.  These apply to MicroStation, PowerDraft, OpenRoads Designer, and every other MicroStation-based application. We’ve published previous articles related to this topic (see links below) but seeing as those are now several years old it’s time for an update for the CONNECT Edition products.

Bentley Support for V8i Applications to be Discontinued at the End of December

Heads-up: All versions of V8i applications prior to SELECTseries 10 will move to “Discontinued Support” status on January 1, 2020. V8i SELECTseries 10 applications will also change status, moving to “Expiring Support” on January 1, 2020 and to “Discontinued Support” on January 1, 2021.

Bentley cannot ensure the security and privacy for your organization if you continue to use software that is in “Discontinued Support” status so now is the time to move to the CONNECT Edition software.
